Village Plan Update
This project is funded by a Municipal Planning Grant from the Agency of Commerce and Community Development
The Village of Old Bennington is working with the BCRC on an update to the Village Plan. The project will involve community engagement throughout the fall and winter of 2025 followed by development of the new plan in Spring of 2026.
Goals of the project:
- Outline strategies to protect and maintain historic character of the Village
- Address updated state laws regarding housing and density requirements
- Prioritize pedestrian-scaled, climate resilient developments to protect natural and historic resources
- Shift to renewable energy sources
