Village of Manchester Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update
The Village of Manchester is undertaking an update to its 2017 Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Local hazard mitigation plans (LHMPs) are created through a community driven process that identifies hazards that could impact the town and develops actions and projects that the community can undertake to reduce risks and damages from natural hazards. Having a LHMP in place makes the town eligible for non-emergency FEMA grants and funding programs.
The hazard mitigation planning process should take place every 5 years and should align with the most recent State of Vermont Hazard Mitigation Plan.
