Energy Planning and Regulation To Be Discussed at March 24 BCRC Meeting
The regular March meeting of the BCRC will be held one week later than usual—on Thursday, March 24—at Arlington Memorial High School’s Mack Center. The first item on the agenda is a presentation about a new energy planning tool, the Community Energy Dashboard, by Linda McGinnis of the Energy Action Network. The “Dashboard” is an online tool where people can easily find out about renewable energy projects, evaluate possible locations for new projects, and review and share information on many energy conservation and efficiency initiatives around the state. The Dashboard currently is being tested and will be launched later this spring.
With numerous new solar energy projects being proposed around the state, it is important that municipal officials and residents understand the “Section 248” Certificate of Public Good permitting process. Aaron Kisicki, Special Counsel with the Public Service Department, will be on hand to provide an overview of the process, describe how municipalities and other interested parties can participate, and answer questions.
The meeting begins at 5:30 PM and is open to the public. AMHS is located at 529 East Arlington Road.
